Our Story

Ten years ago Bill and I thought we had respectable careers as a bond dealer and a management consultant but our respective children had different ideas. Diagnoses of dyslexia and other learning difficulties sent us looking for answers. We refused to believe that in today's world there wasn't a "cure" somewhere. We were lucky enough to find Jane Lloyd who had developed a complex and thorough therapy that worked to remove the blocks to learning our children were facing. We were so impressed we abandoned our careers and joined her to create Edutherapy.

The Edutherapy Programme works to remove the stress that blocks a child's natural development but we noticed that as fast as the Programme removed the stress, society piled it back on. Children today are burdened with worries about exams and performance from a ridiculously early age and we realised that if we really wanted to help children we needed to work to create space for them to thrive.

Then nine months ago, along came Anders. He had sold his first company and was building a new business in Sweden. He invited us to run a seminar in Sweden and by June of this year we had 50 families benefiting from the Edutherapy Programme in Sweden and Denmark. The feedback was extraordinary. Teachers were asking to see parents to find out what they had "done" to their children as they were progressing so well. More interestingly, the families were reporting greater harmony at home.

Shortly after meeting Anders we became aware of the experiments with group meditation which have shown that with the focused intention of the square root of one per cent of a given population you can affect the collective consciousness. We began to wonder whether we could de-stress the UK if we had a network of 800 people and Sweden with 300. Then if we could get a network of 8000 docking stations could we de-stress the planet? We don't know but we would like to give it a go.We decided we needed to set up a new project. But what to call it?

"Give me a number between one and one hundred." I said to Bill, reaching for a book. "We'lll find the name on that page."

" Seventy eight" he said. I turned to the page and it was blank. Ablankpage was born.
